Firesmart is a program to help increase neighborhood resilience to wildfires, and minimize its negative impacts.

We successfully applied for funding, and have already completed seven housing units, with the rest set to be finished in the fall of 2024. We are also working on a perimeter for the community and Hot Lakes.

Dease River Development Corp has also applied for funding to train members in Firesmart.
